BigObject at Tech Week Singapore 2026: Agent-Ready Data, Responsible AI and Data Governance

BigObject shares insights from Tech Week Singapore 2026 on Agent-Ready Data, Responsible AI, enterprise data governance, data silos, and trusted AI adoption.

BigObject joined Tech Week Singapore 2026 at the Taipei Pavilion, presenting Aralia and exchanging perspectives on Agent-Ready Data with enterprises, technology partners, public-sector teams, and innovators from across the region. Across two days of conversations, one challenge surfaced repeatedly: as AI becomes easier to deploy, enterprise data remains fragmented across systems, meanings, permissions, and organizational boundaries.

BigObject at the Taipei Pavilion

BigObject participated in Tech Week Singapore 2026, held on 29–30 September at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, as part of the Taipei Pavilion.

Over two days, our team — Jenny, Claire, and Fish — connected with enterprises, technology partners, public-sector teams, media, and innovators from across the region, introducing Aralia and exchanging perspectives on Agent-Ready Data, Responsible AI, and enterprise data governance.

Across those conversations, one issue kept coming back: data silos.

What We Heard About Enterprise AI

The questions varied, but many pointed to the same underlying challenge:

  • How do you actually make enterprise data Agent-Ready?
  • Where does this layer sit alongside existing ERP systems, databases, files, and enterprise applications?
  • And how can organizations start without creating yet another silo?

Connecting AI to enterprise systems is becoming easier. But connectivity does not automatically create understanding.

Enterprise data still carries business definitions, permissions, relationships, and organizational context that may not be visible from the data structure alone. AI may be able to reach a system without understanding what the information means or how it should be used.

This reflects a challenge highlighted during BigObject’s Tech Week presentation: enterprise data is often fragmented across systems, while business meaning may remain undocumented or embedded in organizational knowledge.

What Is Agent-Ready Data?

Agent-Ready Data is enterprise data prepared with the context, permissions, governance, semantics, and traceability AI agents need to use it reliably.

It goes beyond making data technically accessible.

As AI moves from answering questions toward supporting decisions and taking actions, organizations need confidence not only in the model, but also in the data behind it.

This is where Aralia fits.

Aralia is designed to work with existing enterprise systems rather than replace them.

It sits between existing enterprise systems and AI applications or agents, providing a governed foundation through which AI can work with enterprise data.

ERP remains ERP. Databases and files remain where they are. Aralia provides the governed interface between those systems and AI.

Responsible AI Starts Before the Model

At the Data Strategy Theatre, BigObject’s Claire Kao presented:

Responsible AI – Formulating AI Governance Frameworks: Building Trust Through Agent-Ready Data.

The session began with a fundamental question: Can AI actually trust the data it is using?

The discussion explored why Responsible AI needs to address not only models, but also the data, access, business context, collaboration, and operational traceability behind enterprise AI.

The questions raised on stage closely reflected what we heard on the show floor: trusted enterprise AI requires more than access to data. It requires a data foundation that AI can understand and organizations can govern.

Conversations That Continue Beyond Singapore

From booth conversations and partner exchanges to media interviews and discussions around real-world AI adoption, Tech Week Singapore gave us valuable insight into how organizations are approaching the next stage of enterprise AI.

Those conversations also reinforced why market feedback matters.

Technology may evolve quickly, but enterprise adoption depends on practical questions: where new capabilities fit, how existing systems are preserved, how governance is enforced, and whether people can trust AI enough to use it in real operations.

To everyone who stopped by our booth, challenged us with a question, or stayed a little longer to exchange ideas:

Thank you. Those conversations are what made these two days meaningful.

From Taipei to Singapore

BigObject participated as part of the Taipei Pavilion, established to showcase Taipei’s strengths in AI and big data and help Taipei-based companies expand into the Singapore market. The programme was organized by the Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development and executed by TAITRA.

We sincerely thank Taipei City Government and TAITRA for creating the opportunity to connect Taipei’s technology community with enterprises, partners, and innovators from across the region.

We returned from Singapore with many conversations to continue — and one question that remains especially relevant as enterprise AI evolves:

What is proving harder today: connecting the data, governing it, or giving AI enough context to use it reliably?
